Jill Officer
Jill Officer has been working in Film, Television and Radio for over 25 years.
Jill began working in Production in France in 1999. Having graduated from the University of Warwick with a 1st class honours degree in English and French, Jill first moved to Paris in 2001 where she sought to carve out a career in Television. During this time she trained as an Electronic Music Producer at the School of Audio Engineering in Paris, and worked for a French documentary company as Researcher and then as an AD on socio-historical documentaries.
Jill went on to obtain an MA in Film and Television Production specialising in Producing, Directing and Design before going to to work across the crafts in Television and Radio Production in the UK: Gallery Runner, Production Assistant, Audio Assistant, Locations Assistant, Assistant Producer, Producer, Production Coordinator, and Production Manager, including time at the BBC Natural History unit where Jill received further training in Production Management at the BBC.
This thorough “on the ground” training in each department means that today Jill benefits from first-hand understanding of each of the crafts; camera, lighting, sound, directing, design and producing.
In 2013 she founded “Filming in Paris” to assist anglophone Producers filming in France.
Building on the success of her first company, in June 2023 after a period of ten years Fixing, Jill founded “The French Fix”.
In addition to leading the company, today Jill is a seasoned Producer, working on multi-genre Film & Television output for broadcasters around the world. She has now grown her team to include a selection of experienced Fixers, Location Managers and Assistants who work with The French Fix and Filming in Paris, based in Paris and across the whole of France.

Our experience to date spans Live TV and reality television, to sports, news, radio, corporate, Prime Time Ents, factual programming, Natural History and feature films.
We truly understand the pressures each department faces and thrive on helping alleviate those at the right time to keep the shoot going smoothly and maintain positive team energy.
We also have a thorough grasp of the technical issues that can crop up when filming and have an unfazed notion of “last-minute”!
What makes us tick is problem solving and logistics planning as well as the joy of researching stories, and the challenges of finding the right contributor and perfect location.
